What do I need to do if the glass is shattered on a panel?

Damaged panels (broken glass, torn back sheet, broken j-boxes, broken connectors, etc.) can be electrical hazards as well as laceration hazards. Contact with damaged panel surfaces or panel frame can cause electric shock. Specific requirements for the safe handling of the PV panels are contained within the Safety and Installation Instructions. Contents of this manual are subject to change without notice. We recommend you always consult the latest version before handling the PV panel. If the panels are already installed, please contact a TSE whilst still on site.

The SunPower home energy storage system includes integrated backup power, allowing your home to keep running even during a grid outage. When the storage system detects a power interruption, it automatically switches to backup power in less than 10 milliseconds. It also keeps your solar panels operating - while most conventional solar systems shut down to protect the grid. That means if the sun is shining, you can continue generating, storing, and using solar energy while the grid is down.

If we were responsible for the transportation, please clearly write your comments regarding the damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) before the transporter leaves. If possible, please take digital photographs of any damage before accepting the delivery and especially before opening the packaging. Please contact our TSE for further instructions.
