TCL SunPower Australia showcases the next generation of back contact modules at All Energy 2026

TCL SunPower Australia brought its latest solar innovations and expanding energy product portfolio to All Energy Australia 2026, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28–29 October.
Bringing together its two solar brands, SunPower and TCL Solar, alongside TCL Group's vision for integrated home energy management, the showcase highlighted the evolution of solar technology and the growing range of solutions available to Australian homes and businesses.
From pioneering Back Contact technology to utility-scale solar
A highlight of the booth was the evolution of Back Contact (BC) technology. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest evolution through SunPower Max, combining Back Contact and gapless technologies with enhanced certifications and a sleek, all-black design with power output up to 505W. The module represents more than four decades of continued development and innovation.
Today, BC technology is extending well beyond premium residential applications being deployed in major Australian utility scale solar projects.

A portfolio built for Australian commercial projects
With demand for commercial and industrial solar continuing to grow, TCL SunPower is expanding its portfolio to address the diverse requirements of Australian projects.
The showcase featured a lightweight solar module designed to simplify handling and installation, making it particularly suitable for rooftops with lower load-bearing capacity, alongside robust steel framed panel developed for demanding large-scale applications.
Another standout was the TCL Solar C2 M, a Back Contact module delivering up to 670W of power and 24.8% efficiency. Designed for long-term durability, the module can be manufactured with up to 2.5mm glass-glass construction and offers up to 65mm hail impact resistance.

From solar panels to complete energy ecosystem
Bringing together solar generation, battery storage and smart consumer electronics, the demonstration offered a peek into TCL's vision for a more connected approach to energy management, where generation, storage and consumption work together within a single ecosystem.
For TCL SunPower Australia, the future of solar is not simply about producing more power. It is about providing reliable technology, greater choice and increasingly integrated energy solutions for Australian homes and businesses.

A week full of highlights
Beyond the technology on display, All Energy Australia was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen relationships and celebrate the partnerships that continue to support our growth across the Australian solar industry.
A standout moment was a demonstration by Luminous Robotics, featuring our TCL Solar Back Contact 645W modules and giving visitors a glance into the future of automation in utility-scale solar.
We were also proud to see Goulburn Solar recognised at the Solar Cutters Awards Night, taking home the TCL SunPower Installation Excellence Award, a well-deserved achievement!
A big thank you to our distributors, Tradezone and Krannich, for showcasing our modules on their stands and helping us bring our technology to even more visitors. Also, to Lawrence & Hanson, for an After Party full of conversations with industry colleagues and new connections.
Our own “Sip Big, Win Bigger” networking drinks were another highlight, bringing together partners, customers and friends for an evening of great conversations, drinks and a bit of excitement, with three lucky guests taking home TCL electronics prizes.
It was a fantastic week of showcasing innovation, celebrating achievements and strengthening the partnerships that help drive our industry forward.
