Are SunPower solar panels better?
Not all solar systems are created equal. Of all solar panels on the market, SunPower panels convert more sunlight into electricity. This means our solar panels generate more power than conventional panels within the same amount of space and you’ll need fewer solar panels to produce the energy you need. You can maximise your available roof space to choose the best, unobstructed location for electricity production. You'll save more money on electricity costs over time with SunPower.
Are solar panels worth it?
Solar panels can be a worthwhile investment, especially in regions with abundant sunlight and favorable incentives. They offer numerous benefits, including cost savings on electricity bills, reduced environmental impact, and potential increases in property value. Solar panels typically pay for themselves over time through energy savings and potential government incentives, making them an attractive option for many homeowners and businesses interested in sustainable energy solutions and long-term financial benefits. The return on investment, however depends on factors like your energy consumption, location, available incentives, and long-term goals. That's why we recommend to conduct a thorough evaluation and consult with one of our solar professionals to determine the specific economic and environmental advantages for your situation.
Are there opportunities for partners to enhance their market reputation?
Yes, SunPower's Partner Program features three tiers—Authorised, Premier, and Elite—allowing partners to distinguish themselves in the market. Achieving higher tiers signifies adherence to the highest standards, instilling greater customer confidence in your services and potentially leading to increased business opportunities.
Does Cosmetic quality affect the panel’s performance?
Every single panel is electrically tested and inspected for cosmetic criteria at the end of the production line. Regardless of the cosmetic grade, the cosmetic effects do not affect performance or reliability.
Does my installer have to be a SunPower partner?
No. If there are no SunPower Partners in your area, we will pair you with a qualified installer, or you can appoint an installer of your choice.
How can I become a SunPower installer?
To become a SunPower-certified installer, visit our Partner Program page and submit your application. Our team will review your details and guide you through the onboarding process, which includes product training, certification, and access to exclusive installer benefits.

How do Solar Panels Generate Electricity?
PV solar panels produce direct current (DC) electricity, where electrons flow in a single direction, like a battery powering a light bulb. In contrast, alternating current (AC) electricity alternates the electron flow, similar to a car engine's movement. AC electricity is generated by spinning a coil of wire near a magnet, powered by various energy sources like gas, hydro, nuclear, coal, wind, or solar.
How do solar panels work?
When sunlight strikes a solar cell, it dislodges electrons from atoms, creating an electric current. Connectors on the cell's positive and negative sides form an electrical circuit. This flow of electrons generates electricity. Solar panels consist of numerous cells, and you can connect multiple panels to create a solar array. The greater the number of panels you use, the more energy you can produce.
